MONCTON BUTTS
The Moncton Butts in a Boat are the second team to join the Butts family!
Butts in a Boat Moncton represents those men who have suffered (or will suffer) the effects of prostate cancer, the leading cause of cancer among men in Canada.
The goals of our team, which included prostate cancer patients and their support spouses and friends, was to bring greater public awareness of prostate cancer, and to demonstrate that people can recover from the disease and regain their physical abilities. It was also to have FUN!
DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL, 2024
The Butts in a Boat Moncton team were the biggest fundraisers at their local dragon boating festival, second only to the event's principal sponsor, Ermens.
Their total was $4970.00, 60% of which went to the Lions Sick Children's Fund and 40% to Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada and the local Moncton Prostate Cancer Support Group.
